AKELA.  The name of the mother of Tahrarka or Tihrak, the third king of Egypt of the XXVth dynasty. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).  Perhaps the same as the Urdu akelā = "one by itself," "alone." (A Grammar of the Hindustani or Urdu Language, Platts, 1892).
