ASTARETENHEB.  "Priestess of Astarte."  An Egyptian lady, of whom nothing is known except that she had a sister named Iseret.  Her name possesses an interest as containing that of the Syrian goddess Astarte, whose worship was introduced into Egypt after the conquest in Palestine of Thothmes II. of the XVIIIth dynasty.
