ADHAM (אָדָם).  Hebrew biblical Adam (q.v.), meaning "to be red."  The name of the first created man, husband to Havah.

ADHAM (ادھم).  Arabic name, derived from the vocabulary word adham, meaning "a horse" of a black colour, inclining to a dusky green. (An English and Arabic Dictionary, Catafago, 1873)
