(q.v.), Assyrian Adar-malik,
meaning "Adar is prince" or "Adar is fire-king."
On the 20th of
Tebet, B.C. 680, Adrammelek and Nergal-sharezer, two sons of
Sennacherib, conspired against their father and murdered the monarch while
he was worshipping in one of his temples, after which they endeavoured to
