AGUKAKRIMI. An
early Babylonian king, meaning "the Moon the Maker of
Brilliance," or "Agu
the Maker of Brilliance." He was the son of Tassigurubar.
He was a great warrior, and recovered some images of the deities Marduk
and Ziratbanit, which had previously been carried away to the land of Hani.
He also restored the temple of Bel at Babylon, enlarged the Babylonian
territory, and colonized the land of Asnunnak, an unknown district. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876)
