AHMESSEKER.  Egyptian name, composed of Ahmes "child of the moon" and Seker "he who is shut in," i.e. "the night sun." (Egyptian Magic, Budge, 1901).  Ahmesseker, a royal steward in the XXVth dynasty.  He was the son of the steward Psametikkhu. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
