Neb-ka was succeeded by Ser or Serbes, the Greek Tosorthros, called the Egyptian Aesculapius, who appears at a later period to be the god Aiemapt or Imouthos, the son of Ptah.  He obtained this appellation on account of his knowledge or patronage of the medical art, and is stated to have invented the art of building with polished stones, and also to have given attention to the making of inscriptions or writings.
