    Akar, a mystical name of a region of the Egyptian Hades, which is mentioned in the Ritual of the Dead.  Akar, a mystical reptile, called the "Viper of Set" in the XCIVth chapter of the Ritual of the Dead. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
