ALEBION (Ἀλεβίων).  In Greek mythology, the name of a son of Poseidon, meaning "white."  Also spelled Albion, which see.

    Albion or Alebion (Ἀλβίων, Ἀλεβίων), son of Poseidon and brother of Dercynus or Bergion, with whom he attacked Hercules, when he passed through their country (Liguria) with the oxen of Geryon.  They were slain by Hercules. (A Classical Dictionary of Biography, Mythology &c., Smith, 1883).
