ATAHUTI.  Atahuti I., the son of Menes, king of Egypt, of the Ist dynasty.  He built a palace at Memphis, and wrote several books on medicine, and is said by the Greeks to have introduced the practice of cutting for the stone.  He is called by some writers Athothes.  Atahuti II., the third king of Egypt of the Ist dynasty. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
