ADE.  f. In the Arthurian The Legend of Sir Lancelot du Lac, this  is the name of his ami. (The Legend of Sir Lancelot du Lac, Weston, 1901).  It may be a form of biblical Adah, "ornament," or the same as Anglo-Saxon Eed, English Ada, both from German Ida, meaning "rich."
