Berenice, a
daughter of Ptolemy Soter II. She was generally called Cleopatra.
She succeeded her father, and reigned for six months, at the end of which
she was assassinated by her cousin Alexander II., B.C. 80. Berenice,
a daughter of Ptolemy Auletes. She deposed her father, and reigned
in Egypt conjointly with her sister Tryphena for a year, and then by
herself for two years longer. She was slain by the Roman general
Gabinius, and Ptolemy Auletes was restored to the throne, B.C. 55.

second queen of Ptolemy Soter I., and the mother of Ptolemy Philadelphus,
B.C. 311. Berenice, wife of Euergetes I. Berenice,
