Respecting the fifth Imam, Muhammad Baqir, but little is recorded in the pages of history.  He was born at Madina in A.D. 694, his mother having been Omru Abdullah, a daughter of Hasan; he was therefore a great-great-grandson of the Prophet.  He died in Jan., A.D. 733, by poison administered at the instance of the then reigning Khalif, and was buried at Madina.
