priest, who translated the annals of his country into Greek about B.C.
276, when he dedicated the work to Antiochus Soter. His records
were at one time disputed, but they have to a great extent been
confirmed by the Assyrian monuments and tablets, especially since the
discovery of the so-called Izdubar Legends by Mr. G. Smith.
