CODAR EL AHMAR.  In Arabic history a wicked man of Thamud, who slew the sacred camel of Saleh, and thus caused the destruction of the tribe of Thamud.  He is supposed to have been the Chedorlaomer of Hebrew writers, but that is not likely.  See Kudur-lagamar and Saleh. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
