DADU-GHIPA.  Assyrian name meaning "beautiful beloved one," from dadu "beloved one" and ghipa "beautiful, fair."  This was the name of a daughter of Dushradda, king of Middanni in Northern Mesopotamia.  She was married to Amenophis IV.  In Egypt, she was called Nefertiti (q.v.). (Light from the East; or, the Witness of the Monuments, Ball, 1899).
