DAVCINA.  An early Chaldean goddess, the wife of Hea, and the mother of Marduk.  She has been supposed to represent the earth in a female form, as Hea was the god of the waters.  Her analogue was the Phoenician goddess Bohu.  See Davke. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
