Feminine form of Bulgarian Desislav
(q.v.), possibly meaning "ten times glorious," from десе
"ten" and слава "glory."
... Add to that a previously
unknown Latin decree, announced on 20 August 1189 in Ragusa, in which
the Comitissa Desislava, wife of the Count Michael, probably one of the last small princes of the coast of Zeta before the expulsion of the same by Nemanja, in the presence of Archbishop Gregory of Antivari and numerous witnesses about the surrender of two vessels, a galleon and a Sagitea, issuing a confirmation.
