Origin of the name EROS.
Etymology of the name EROS.
Meaning of the baby name EROS.

EROS (Έρως).  Greek name of the god of "love."

EROS:  love, is from Hera: earth.  "The cosmogenic EROS of Hesiod is apparently a personification of the principle of attraction, on which the coherence of the material world depends."  Simonides assigned him APHRODITE: foam spring, and ARES: earth, for parents; a mythical way of saying EROS was child of Earth and Sea. (Personal and Family Names, Long, 1883)
