FIONNGHALA.  Yonge makes this another form of Gaelic Fionnghuala, "white shoulders," but it looks more like a feminine form of Fionnghal (q.v.), meaning "white stranger." (History of Christian Names, Yonge, 1884).  Also see Fionaghal; these are three different names that are easily confused with each other.
