GODLUMTHAKATHI.  African Zulu name meaning "holds back the wizard." (Odhiambo)  Note: I cannot find anything on this name, but the latter part, Lumthakathi, means "mixer of herbs," i.e. "witch, warlock, wizard." (Mabona)

... A third informant said that isithinzi is "simply a power.  It is a bad power, causing confusion in the body.  It is cast on a man by umthakathi." (Berglund)
