HACON.  One of the first kings of the Isle of Man was Hacon or Hakon. (Archaic England, Bayley, 1920).  It is recorded in Domesday, and is a variant form of Old Norse Haaken (q.v.), meaning "high kin," from haa "high" and kyn "kin."
