HOPHRA (חָפְרַע). Biblical.
[Hebrew hhophra, Egyptian Uahbra
= "of the sun" (Gesenius)]. Also see Aufrer,

Pharoah-Hophra. The king who reigned over Egypt while Jeremiah and
his fellow-fugitives from Palestine still lived. The prophet
intimated that Pharaoh-hophra should be Divinely given into the hands of
his enemies, as Zedekiah, the last king of Judah, had been (Jer. xliv.
