JEHUDI.  [Heb. Yehudhi = "Jewish," "a Jew"]. 

A messenger sent by king Jehoiakim to ask Baruch for the roll written by Jeremiah.  He was afterwards employed to read it, which he did, till the king, enraged at its contents, cut it in pieces and cast it into the fire (Jer. xxxvi. 14, 21, 23). (The Sunday School Teacher's Bible Manual, Hunter, 1894)
