KA-MAT-EF.  Kamatef.  "Bull of his Mother."  An epithet applied to the Egyptian kings and to heroes who were always compared to the largest animals of their country.  The phrase might be better rendered, "Valiant Son of his Mother."  See Horus. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
