KHANUNU.  A king of Gaza, whose country was invaded by Sargon II., king of Assyria.  He called to his assistance Shabatuk or Sibahe, king of Egypt, but he was, together with his Egyptian ally, utterly defeated by the Assyrians at the battle of Raphia. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
