KSHAYA.
Persian name, or title, meaning "king." (History of Christian

meaning "ruling."
A peep into the sixty years'
cycle, by Bâjârâma
Râmakrishna Bhâgawata
(Bombay): There are two ways of reckoning
the sixty years' cycle. The more modern way is very simple.
It is taken for granted that each cycle contains full sixty years, the
first year being called Prabhava and the 60th or the last Kşhaya.
The 47th year of the Era current in Maharashtra being named Kşhaya, the
year 1787 also of the Era will have to be named Kşhaya; the 1788 being
again Prabhava, 1847 will again be Kşhaya. (Wiener Zeitschrift
für die Kunde des Morgenlandes, 1898).
