LABYNETUS.  This is the Greek form of the Chaldean royal name Nabonahid (q.v.), meaning "Nebo is Majestic." (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).  It is stated in a footnote on page 481, in Smith's A Dictionary of the Bible, vol. 2, 1893, that this Greek name does rightly render Nabu-nahit.
