| MARUDUK-SAR-UZUR.
An
Assyrian officer, to whom Tammaritu, king of Elam, submitted himself after
his defeat by the Assyrian army. Maruduk-sar-uzur, an
Assyrian governor, in the reign of Vul-nirari III., the name of whose
district is lost. He was eponym of the year B.C. 785, the chief
events in which were an expedition to Hupuskia, and "the great god to
Deri went."
