| NABU-BEL-UZUR. "Nebo,
protect the Lord." The governor of Sihima in the reign of
Tiglath Pileser II. He was eponym of the year B.C. 732, the chief
event in which was an expedition to Damascus. He may have been the
same as the next. Nabu-bel-uzur, the governor of Arbaha in
the last year of the reign of Assur-Nirari II. He was eponym of the
year B.C. 745, the chief events in which were the accession to the throne
of Tiglath Pileser II., and a march to the borders of the river.
