Ninipilai. The governor of Ahizuhina in the reign of Vulnirari III., and eponym
of the year B.C. 802, the chief event in which was an expedition to
Hupuskia. Ninip-ilai, the governor of Nisibin in the reigns
of Tiglath Pileser II. and Shalmaneser IV. He was eponym of the
years B.C. 736, in which took place an expedition to the foot of Mount
Naal; and 722, the chief events in which were the accession of Sargon, and
the siege of Samaria. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
