Lion." A mystical epithet which is applied to one of the
greater divinities in the CLXIIIrd chapter of the Ritual of the Dead.
Paru, the lord or chief of Hilmu. He was
one of the chiefs who, with Ummanigas, king of Elam, and Saulmugina, king
of Babylon, conspired against Assurbanipal.
Paru, one of the two sons of Umanaldas, king of
Elam, who fled for refuge into Assyria with the sons of Urtaki. See Ummanigas. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
