RINDR.  In Scandinavian mythology a wife of the god Odin, by whom he had Wali, the avenger of the death of Baldur. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).  The name is probably from Germanic rinta, signifying "the crust of the earth." (The Teutonic Name-system &c., Ferguson, 1864).
