RIMSIN.  The last king of Larsa, in Babylonia.  He conquered the city of Karrak, and annexed the kingdom to his own, an event of sufficient consequence to have been used as an era by the Babylonians.  After that event he ruled over both North and South Babylonia till he was conquered by Hammurabi.  He made a channel from the river Tigirs to the sea. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
