Suhayl-bin-Amer relates that at the battle of Badr he saw men arrayed in white, between heaven and earth, each with a banner in his hand, and they slew the infidels and took them prisoners.  A great many hands were cut off, and other wounds inflicted that day, and no blood drawn, which circumstance was a sign that the blows had been given by angels.
