TITI. Probably
a feminine form of Egyptian Ti
(q.v.), meaning "giving."
TITI, the name of the mother of
one of the last of the Ramesside kings of the XXth dynasty, who is
called by some writers Rames-Miamun.
Titi, the name of the wife of the Titamasca.
Titi, the name of the sister of Titamasca.
Titi, the name of the daughter of Titamasca. (An
Archaic Dictionary, Cooper, 1876).
...the tomb attributed by
Mariette to Queen Tii is not
hers at all, but is in fact the tomb of a certain Queen Titi,
or Thiti,
of the period of the twentieth dynasty. As regards the abnormal
fairness of complexion given to the portrait and the blueness of the
eyes, these peculiarities (if they were peculiarities) would be
characteristic therefore of Queen Titi, and not of the wife of
Amenhotep III. But even for Queen Titi this argument proves
nothing... (Egypt of the Past, Wilson, 1893).
