TAGO.  A Spanish form of Teutonic Dag (q.v.), meaning "day."  This was the name of a bishop of Zaragoza who went to Rome sometime between 640 to 649 to procure missing pieces of St. Gregory's Comment on the Book of Job.  Also see Tajo. (History of Christian Names, Yonge, 1884)
