Origin of the name TATEOS.
Etymology of the name TATEOS.
Meaning of the baby name TATEOS.

TATEOS (Թադէոս).  An Armenian form of biblical Thaddeus (q.v.), meaning "confession, praise, thanksgiving." (The Living Church Annual, 1883)

At one time the Armenians were world-conquerors.  Tigranes The Great, an Armenian, called the "King of Kings," ruled in Asia Minor, in 80 B.C.   Abgar, an Armenian king, sent for Christ, begging of Him to come into Armenia where he would protect Him.  But it is said that Jesus declined and sent Tateos, one of His disciples, to the Armenian king and his people.  The Armenians were the first people to embrace Christianity in the first century, and they have clung to their faith until this day, in spite of all opposition and persecution. (New Armenia, v.2, 1905).
