| VALLI. The
son of Ahsera, king of Minni. On the murder of his father and family
by his indignant subjects, he ascended the throne and made peace with
Assyria, sending his eldest son, Erisinni, with an embassy to Nineveh for
that purpose. Assurbanipal, who had already subjugated nearly the
whole of Minni, accepted his submission, demanding the daughter of Valli
for his harem, and an annual tribute of thirty horses, which conditions
were at once granted. (An Archaic Dictionary, Cooper,
1876).
