    Walaraban, or Walram, seems appropriate as slaughter-raven, but is uncertain.  The French made it Gauteran; and in the form of Waleran it was used in the House of Luxembourg, Counts of St. Pol; it is Galerano in Italy. (History of Christian Names, Yonge, 1884).
