The emperor then called upon privy coucillor Jang Yüshoo, who mentioned that Ma Chi had said to him that all the ministers had agreed to pray for the restoration of Yun Yi.  The privy councillor was probably saying now in public only what he had more minutely declared in private.  The emperor said that the conduct of Ma Chi in thus privately influencing ministers, proved a nature ready to develop into treason, and it was proof of his eagerness to secure the good-will of Yun Yi; so that if Yun Yi became emperor, he would have full power to carry out his own will as supreme minister.
