Origin of the name YOSEPH.
Etymology of the name YOSEPH.
Meaning of the baby name YOSEPH.

YOSEPH (יוֹסֵף).  Hebrew biblical Joseph (q.v.), meaning "he will add," "Jehovah will add," or, "adding" or "addition." (The Sunday School Teacher's Bible Manual, Hunter, 1894).  Also spelled Yosif.

... R. Yoseph Ra'betz was a great Talmudist and a philosopher of no mean order; his forte, however, consisted in Qabbalah and homiletics, so that he was called par excellence החסיד or היורש (or both together) without one finding it necessary to add or prefix his individual name to these epithets. (Catalogue of the Hebrew Manuscripts, Schiller-Szinessy, 1876)
